After two marathons I fell out of love with running, I basically got bored. I was encouraged to enter the London Triathlon Sprint and have started enjoying training once again. Stairs at work have become a struggle once more.

Blogging Day 2. Surprisingly, I'm back again.

My second day as one of these new fangled bloggers. OK. After my hard work on day two of my running program (rest day) I went for a 40min run today, it was 'sposed to be a slow run, I ran it quite slowly, I think but I certainly did run it. Yey me. Now, I've done other races before this marathon but this is the first time I have actually made the effort to set myself a training regime. Although this might sound like a positive new leaf type scenario (thanks for the word Kay.) it's probably only because I can't do this race without training! I've done a couple of half marathons and 10ks, here's a picture of me just before the Cardiff Half in 2004. The pretty photograph is down to my love Kay and her big hefty Canon. That was fun but hard. No thanks to my mate Phil (who is also doing previously described marathon). He feigned injury to chat up a nurse. Slacker.

In case any of you were wondering, I have the photo of my shoes but I will leave that for another day when you are ready for such a thing. Another, more exciting, non-running related thing happened to me today. Last week I got a call from Tania from the Anthony Nolan Trust at my m&d's house. Today, I eventually got around to calling back. Well, shake a badger at me and call me a weasel if I'm not a partial match for someone with bone marrow difficulties (That's the PC way of saying it). And obviously as I have been a hobo student for the past 4 years the blood sample kit could be at any one of six houses. But they are sending me another one to find out whether I need my marrowbone jelly sucked out to help someone, somewhere out. I am pleased about this but I think my mum is a bit worried, but that's what mums are for, ain't it. Anyway, I'm listening to country music (Garth Brooks I'm told, Not to be confused with Garth Crooks. Two very different people!)

Bye monkies, we're off to bed. Me and Kay not me and Garth. Not Crooks, nor Brooks. Sorry lads.

Hey Ed, what's the deal with "sorry lads"? Garth and I were deeply troubled by your denial, tut tut,

Garth
