Oh no we're nearly out of Triple Sec.
It's true! We are actually nearly out of triple sec. We actaully use it. Triple sec isn't an ornament in our house (that's the Angostura Bitters) . We use it in Kay's favorite drink: The aptly named Brazen Hussy. If you are interseted, which I assume you are not, blogs being the self indulgent drivel that they are, its made from 1 measure Vodka (straight form the freezer), 1 measure Triple Sec and 1.5 measures Lemon juice. All shaken with ice in a hippy hippy shaker. It's nice but it makes your face go nnnnnnurrrrgggg.
Yesterday was back on schedule for running, I ran about 4 miles comprising a speed session of 2 miles of fastness in the middle of a warm up and cool down mile. It was nice to get out again after missing nearly a week and be doing what I'm supposed to - according to my schedule.
Kay wants me to tell you about two socks who met in our dryer and became linked by a bit of string. They had become so well connected I really struggled to get them apart. During my struggle I was shouted at by Kay for being a "home wrecker". Well, how rude! That from someone who today fell asleep with a Vicks inhaler up her nose (Other decongestant inhalers are available).
Also the answer to them music trivia, which none of you seemed to be interested in, hhhhrrrmmmphhhhh, was Whoomph There it is by Tag Team. Durrrrrrr. The 'closest' was Chris with his suggestion (and nifty rendition) of a Ken Bruce style 'Words Don't Come Easily' Alternative. And an offbeat suggestion of something Shania Twainesque?!
I read this on unofficial Rochdale FC website and thought it was so funny I would show you all.
"Since we last won, man has walked on the moon, Nelson Mandela has been released from prison, David Hasslehoff was responsible for bringing the Berlin Wall down, Paul Tait scored for Rochdale and Neil Brisco did something worth mentioning, at least it seems that long ago. We can all breath a huge sigh of relief for the time being at least"
FYI, before Tuesday Rochdale had not won a single game since November. One point from twenty four.
Below are three photos, Kay, Our friend and Kay's singing teacher Pete, and a monkey (all pictured at Twycross Zoo). I'll let you decide who is who.

It's 0046 and I'm still writing my final chapter.
I have to finish the formatting, arrange my figures and print tonight for a 9am hand in. Aaah the student life?!?!? Tomorrow I am free - oh, and right in the middle of my 8th year of university!!!
Well, better get the coffee on.

Bless you for mentioning my song competition entry Ed - in actual fact let's face it, I should have merely got a participation pin for bothering to post. To be truthful, I didn't have the slightest idea what you were going on about, but as you were making the effort, I thought I should too. I figured that most of the time you wouldn't know what I was going on about either - ah, the beauty of the blog - a lot of people saying a lot of entertaining and 'interesting' self-indulgent stuff. I love it. Anyway back to the ramblings - I thought perhaps through some geneological (sp?) link we may actually work out what each other were on about. Being scientists and all, perhaps after Kay has completed her 8th year and you your 6th at uni, you could see about getting a research fund to study this possibility. There you are, (are you students sitting down as I am going to use the J word) that is two problems solved in one go with jobs for both of you.
Okay, my top training tip for the week .... left foot, right foot, left foot, right foot, left foot, right foot - repeat this procedure at approximately ten miles an hour for approximately two hours and ten minutes. If you found that helpful, let me know and I will see if I can come up with something else for you.
Love the monkey picture Kay (both the one on this post and the one from Chiangi Airport ... you knew it was coming Ed, and i did not want to disappoint).
