After two marathons I fell out of love with running, I basically got bored. I was encouraged to enter the London Triathlon Sprint and have started enjoying training once again. Stairs at work have become a struggle once more.

Tag team back again...

Prizes for finishing the line (in the verse I am thinking of) and naming the song.

The absence of posts recently goes hand in hand with the absence of running. However, the running sabbatical is now over, I went out last night. There was a bit of discomfort in my back/chest again but nothing too evil. I only ran for three miles but it was nice to be outside and in the freezing cold. I'm not going running tonight (it should be double yesterday's run, but I'm still too owwy for that) but I went to the doctors today and she said that I most probably had inflamed chest muscles (or, but probably not, a collasped lung!) and that there was no problem with running if I took Ibruprofen to get rid of the pain and the inflamation.

Another science based disater today at work but thats what a PhD is, a series of large set backs, major disasters and tiny triumphs. All based on a little (very little) bit of skill, lots of unappriciated hard work (in general, my supervisor is great) and an aboslutely massive amount of luck.

I'll be back out running tomorrow night so hopefully I'll be blogging again regularly very soon. It seems like there are quite a lot of people who want to read this blog!?! 33 people visited the site yesterday - a new record.

If anyone read Luisa's (my sister) comment and was confused, she was talking about a football leagues based game organised by Barry (her boyfriend) in which players are given a team from each Football league (4 teams). You are awarded the points that your 4 teams generate in their respective leagues, and, to cut a long story short: Woo! I stopped Luisa being top this period and won manager of the month by 4 points. Ha! I'm also top of the table by about 14 points. Yey me.

Laters.

Oh, hang on. This is a picture Kay took. She was at the time taking ths piss out of me and my sunglasses.Earlier in the day we had had to retrieved them from the Brisbane Council offices lost property dept. because I lost them on a bus. Yes there was a sulk before there are any comments about it. When we got there, they were labeled as 'children's' sunglasses, I was not amused. They are super cool Oakleys! Dumbasses. They did however find my lost sunglasses and didn't steal them probably because they thought they were for kids. Gits. So I guess I should say thank you really. Thank you Brisbane.

The end

Although personally I have always preferred Seiko
I've also heard Breitling are good, but they cost the same as my caaaarrrr!

Doesn't really scan very well does it? However if accompanied by wailing vocals and heavy rock beats, I reckon we could pull it off

Congratulations on making it to 300 hits by the way

Run baby, run baby, run baby run (can't remember who sang that - someone a bit Shania Twainesq, but I know it wasn't her - answers on a postcard to George The Cat Galloway, the Disrespect Party, House of Commons - for any American readers George is one of our politicians and at this moment in time is making George Jnr look like the voice of sanity)
