New talents?
Kay's singing lot did a concert yesterday. It was a workshop where all the songs are learned and performed on the same day. After numerous rows about whether I could sing I went to the workshop to prove Kay wrong and convince her that I am not Pavarotti in disguise. So, I went I sang and I stank. Don't get me wrong I really enjoyed going and singing but I don't really think my dulcet tones really contributed in a positive manner to the sound of the choir. Kay however, did the opposite. She did a solo performance of Cole Porter's So in Love. Whatever the div might tell you, it was really beautiful and I was disappointed that I was sitting behind her and couldn't see her from the front in the audience. I am banning her from commenting until she has stopped being naughty about it.
A quick running update I nearly Had a perfect 5 runs in 7 days but I failed to go on Sat because of singing and posting eBay items to the USA, Ireland, Jersey, Isle of Mann, Canada, Sweden (A mobile phone no less), and another phone to South Africa. Today I ran further than I ever have in my life. 15 miles, this seemed much harder than last weeks 13miles; Way harder than 2 miles harder. Maybe that's due to a most extensive weeks training but I'm not too worried about it. Bring on 17 next week. Urk!
Also, an update on the I wore Kay's shorts silliness. I didn't! Kay got it wrong, the shorts I wore and she then wore after a very quick wash and dry were indeed mine. I found out because when I went into my running kit draw I found a pair of shorts which I didn't recognise as mine. Hmmm I thought. Not mine! I was right and Kay wore boys shorts. Sing about that you stupid sibling! Ha.

Ed kickes ass at singing - otherwise why would I have invited him? The solo was OK then I guess. Close enough for Jazz at any rate. Ed, my mum (and auntie, and grandma, and cousins), and my singing teacher liked it, so I guess no one else's opinion matters.
As for the running shorts issue:
ED IS A RIGHT FRIKKIN' LIAR. HE WEARS GIRLS SHORTS!
In other news: Due to lack of funds, Ed gave me a much needed haircut tonight. It turned out dead good. I recommend him.

Also, get you giving John Frieda a run for his money.
I bet there were a few nervy moments though eh?
I wouldn't let him anywhere near my Barnet, not after the Great Brush Tangling Incident.

Shorts for girls, shorts for boys, who cares. A few raised eyebrows if it is the knicker draw, but then perhaps that would be the first stuttering steps along a political career. One question though for you scientists - would Ed run faster in Kay's shorts or for that matter Kay run faster in Ed's. Perhaps a little less restriction in the male variety? I have a sneeking suspicion that girls' shorts just have some groovier stripes and designs and thus the marketing folk at various kit companies can whack up the price. Any ascertion that I seem to know more about girls' shorts than I ought to, is merely a melicious rumour.
Anyway, I am impressed with the mileage Ed (sure you didn't at least use a bike for some of it) and look on the bright side - just think how much flatter London is than Sheffield
